▌創作自述 Artist Statement
蔡宇貞的藝術旅程圍繞著視角的多變性展開，透過創作中的探索與成長，發展出一 套獨特的靜物捕捉方式。她以敏銳的感知如同收藏家般蒐集片刻與物件，運用「收 藏」的概念，將那些不可觸及卻深具感性的事物轉化為畫作中的珍貴主題。也善於 運用西方繪畫媒材，揉合東方的靜謐與內斂，為事物注入詩意與靈感，構築出平靜 而富底蘊的視覺語言。對她而言，風格不應被侷限於時代，當代世界的多重視野正 是創作的沃土。她的作品如同一場細緻的凝視，在跨越文化與時間的對話中，緩緩 訴說屬於自己獨特而深邃的觀看與想像。

繪畫運用古典油畫技法層層堆疊，選擇木板作為基底材，畫面展現出厚實的筆觸與 沉穩的氣質。木板堅硬平整，不僅支撐有力的筆勁，也與她沈靜內斂的風格相互呼 應，如同木質調的安定與溫潤，成為她詩意視覺語言的載體。

Tsai Yu-Chen’s artistic practice revolves around the ideas of observation and collecting. Through an ongoing exploration of shifting perspectives, she has developed a distinctive approach to still life. Like a perceptive collector, she preserves fleeting moments and everyday objects, transforming intangible emotions, memories, and sensations into the central subjects of her paintings.

Working with traditional oil painting techniques, Tsai patiently builds her surfaces through multiple layers of color and light. She chooses wooden panels as her primary support, allowing their solidity and warmth to complement her restrained yet expressive brushwork. By combining Western classical painting methods with the quiet sensibility of Eastern aesthetics, she creates poetic compositions that imbue ordinary objects with tranquility, depth, and emotional resonance.

For Tsai, artistic style should never be confined by a particular era or cultural framework. Instead, contemporary creation flourishes through the coexistence of diverse perspectives. Her paintings invite viewers into a contemplative dialogue that transcends time and culture, revealing the quiet beauty, imagination, and enduring vitality hidden within the ordinary.
