▌創作自述 Artist Statement
高崎洋祐的創作立基於日本傳統木雕，從佛教雕塑與神道神祇中汲取靈感，同時探討當代「情慾（eros）」的主題。作品在日本歷史美學與當代視覺文化之間建立連結與對話。 對他而言，情慾並不僅僅是感官上的情慾，而是一種人類對於美的普遍渴望——一種超越國界、文化與性別的內在衝動。高崎洋祐在佛像與史前土偶等古老形式中，看見這種對美的深層本能。透過整合這些元素，試圖創作出連結歷史意識與當代感知的作品。

在創作實踐中，高崎洋祐以現代戀物美學（fetish aesthetics）的視角重新詮釋這些傳統母題，經常描繪帶有高跟鞋或乳膠面罩、緊身衣等元素的性感女性形象。這種並置關係，反映出人類對美的追求如何跨越時間與文化持續存在。

藝術家亦創作成對或對稱的雕塑作品。這樣的結構不僅強調雕塑的空間存在，也邀請觀者關注形體之間的無形空間。受到如門神或守護像等成對形象的啟發，這些作品進一步探討「間」的概念——一種連結對立元素（如生與死、靜與動）的空間。在這樣的空間之中，新的詮釋與個人敘事得以生成。

透過自己的創作，高崎洋祐期望喚起一種超越差異的連結感，並開啟一個讓對立價值共存、進而生成嶄新意義的場域。

Yosuke Takasaki’s work is rooted in traditional Japanese wood carving, drawing inspiration from Buddhist sculpture and Shinto deities, while exploring the theme of contemporary eros. It bridges historical Japanese aesthetics and contemporary visual culture.

For him, eros is not merely sensuality, but a universal human longing for beauty—an impulse that transcends borders, cultures, and gender. Takasaki finds this sensibility in ancient forms such as Buddhist statues and prehistoric clay figures, where a deep human instinct toward beauty is embedded. By integrating these elements, he creates works that connect historical consciousness with contemporary sensibility.

In his practice, Takasaki reinterprets these traditional motifs through the lens of modern fetish aesthetics, often depicting sensual female figures adorned with elements such as high heels or latex. This juxtaposition reflects a shared human aspiration toward beauty that persists across time and culture.

The artist also creates works in paired compositions. This structure emphasizes the spatial presence of sculpture while inviting viewers to engage with the invisible space between forms. Inspired by traditional paired figures such as guardian statues, these works explore the concept of “ma” (間)—a space that connects opposing elements such as life and death, stillness and movement. Within this space, new interpretations and personal narratives can emerge.

Through his work, Yosuke Takasaki seeks to evoke a sense of connection that transcends differences, offering a space where contrasting values can coexist and generate new meaning.
