▌創作自述 Artist Statement
中莖あかり以自身對美的感知為出發點，透過創作探索純粹的美感表現。 當人們觀看以人體為主題的藝術作品時，往往會下意識地辨識人物的性別、種族與年齡，試圖透過既有的分類理解眼前的形象。尤其當性別特徵難以辨認時，甚至可能產生不安或困惑。 然而，藝術家刻意淡化這些身分特徵，避免既定的認知與分類成為感受美的限制。對她而言，美不應受到性別、種族或年齡的定義所束縛，而是存在於超越這些界線的純粹感知之中。
Akari Nakakuki’s artistic practice begins with her personal perception of beauty, exploring its purest expression through her work. When encountering representations of the human figure in art, viewers often instinctively seek to identify characteristics such as gender, race, and age, interpreting the figure through familiar categories. Ambiguity, particularly in relation to gender, may even evoke a sense of uncertainty or discomfort. In her work, Nakakuki deliberately minimizes these identifying features, allowing beauty to be experienced beyond conventional definitions and classifications. For the artist, beauty should not be confined by distinctions of gender, race, or age, but rather encountered through a direct and unrestrained form of perception.
