▌創作自述 Artist Statement
飯沼英樹以木材創作具象雕塑作品。
他的創作受到時尚、城市中所見的人們、記憶，以及日常場景所影響。他對於透過姿態、服裝、動作與色彩所顯現出的不安定情感特別感興趣。他使用鏈鋸與手持工具直接雕刻木材，並保留創作過程中的痕跡——例如切痕、裂縫、粗糙的表面與失衡感。他並不試圖完全控制材料，而是在雕刻與上色的過程中，與那些意料之外的變化共同創作。
飯沼英樹也對「邊界」的概念抱持興趣——身體究竟從何開始與結束，以及服裝是否能成為身體的一部分。以相似的概念，他的雕塑也是透過不斷地分割、分離與連結形體的決定所形成。有時，他也會在觀眾面前進行現場雕塑創作。透過雕刻、繪製、猶豫與反覆修正，人物的形象隨著時間逐漸浮現。
在日本與歐洲學習及工作之後，飯沼英樹持續於國際間展出作品，包括歐洲、亞洲與美國的計畫與展覽。目前生活並創作於東京。
Hideki Iinuma makes figurative sculptures from wood.
His works are influenced by fashion, people seen in cities, memories, and everyday scenes. He is interested in the unstable feelings that appear through posture, clothing, gesture, and color.
Using chainsaws and hand tools, he carves directly into wood and leaves traces of the process visible — cuts, cracks, rough surfaces, and imbalance. He does not try to completely control the material, but works together with unexpected changes that happen during carving and painting.
Iinuma is also interested in the idea of boundaries — where a body begins and ends, and whether clothing can become part of the body itself. In a similar way, his sculptures are shaped through continuous decisions of dividing, separating, and connecting forms. Sometimes he creates sculptures in front of viewers. Through carving, painting, hesitation, and repetition, the figure slowly appears over time.
After studying and working in Japan and Europe, Iinuma has continued to exhibit internationally, including projects and exhibitions in Europe, Asia, and the United States. He currently lives and works in Tokyo.
